Benefits of Private Coaching
- Students wishing to advance at an accelerated pace, preparing for a competition or audition are strongly encouraged to take advantage of this invaluable program. We have a large studio space available for training – a dancers can request coaching sessions for classical solos or any area of classical training that they would like to improve.
- Group instruction often needs to be augmented with private coaching, designed for the specific mental, physical and even emotional needs of the dancer.
- Private coaching can reduce or even eliminate the risk of injury. A student’s specific alignment, bone structure and muscle strength will be thoroughly analyzed, in order to train that student in the safest and most efficient way to execute the technique that he or she is learning.
- Focused private instruction can change the dance experience, and the dancers overall physical well-being immeasurably.

Technique
- Secure posture and weight placement, use of turnout articulated clearly, defined footwork
- Co-ordinated and sensitive use of the arms and hands in balanced harmony with the whole body, showing breadth of movement, use of apaulement, alignment, head and eye-line
Rhythmical and controlled pirouettes
- Controlled, sustained and co-ordinated adagio movements creating harmonious lines through the whole body
- Effective use of elevation, accurate batterie, and the ability to reflect the dynamics and artistic qualities of the allegro steps
- Awareness and appropriate use of space
